Art and Design teacher (Northamptonshire)

Teaching Personnel are currently working closely alongside a secondary school in Northamptonshire who are seeking a teacher of Art and Design to join them in January 2019. The school are based in South Northamptonshire and cater for students aged 4-19, however the successful candidate will be required on the secondary site only. Designed as a modern school for the future, the school offers some of the best facilities available to students in the area. The school is also high attaining, with results in all key stages being significantly above national averages. At key stage 4, in 2016, 79% of students obtained A*-C including English and maths, with 24% of students obtaining 5+ A/A*, putting them in the top 4 schools in Northamptonshire. The school have also recently received the Regional Pupil Premium award for schools with KS4 results in the East Midlands, as well as receiving recognition for their work in the inclusion aspect of their educational provision. The position will involve teaching Art, Design and Textiles to KS3 and KS4 students on a full time basis alongside a successful and supportive department.

The ideal candidate will also be:

• A dynamic and experienced Art/Design/Textiles teacher with the ability to teach KS3/KS4 pupils
• Able to exhibit excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
• Capable of planning diverse lessons which cater to all learning styles and abilities
• Able to track results and ensure that pupil progress is made
• Work collaboratively alongside the department: encouraging students to be excited about the subject and promoting the values of the school.
