ALN Teaching Assistant - September Long Term Role

Job description

These schools are SEN specific, supporting children with ASD (Autistic Spectrum Disorder), PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties), EBD (Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties) and S&L (Speech and Language).

If you have experience supporting and working with children with these special needs then we need you to come and join us at Teaching Personnel. Applicants will have considerable, recent experience of working with children within a Primary or Secondary capacity, and whose background has involved specifically working with children requiring behavioural and emotional support. This is beneficial but not necessarily essential due to

Key requirements:

  • The ability to develop strong relationships.
  • Supportive nature.
  • Experience working in the SEND Education sector or Healthcare sector would be advantageous.
  • A genuine passion for working within the special educational needs environment.
  • Available 5 days per week between the hours of 8.30am - 3.30pm.
  • EWC Registered. (We can support you with this if you have not yet registered.)
  • Holds a DBS on the update service. (We can support you with a new DBS application if needed.)

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
