Job description
Ad-Hoc Learning Support Assistants – Southampton
£13.75 per hour | Choose Your Own Days | Flexible School-Based Work
Are you looking for flexible, rewarding work where you stay in control of your schedule? Teaching Personnel is looking for enthusiastic and reliable Ad-Hoc Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to support a range of schools across Southampton.
This role is perfect for anyone who wants variety, a healthy work-life balance, and the ability to choose when they work. You can offer 3–5 days per week, and with working hours from 8:30am to 3:15pm, it’s a brilliant option for those needing regular daytime hours without evening or weekend commitments.
This opportunity is ideal for:
Those seeking part-time or term-time work
Individuals wanting to top up hours alongside another job
University students studying part-time or with flexible timetables
Anyone who enjoys working with children and supporting learning
You’ll be travelling to different schools across the city, so being a driver is a big advantage, but the role is also suitable for those confident using public transport.
All applicants must hold a Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one with our support.
The best part?
You manage your own diary. Simply tell us which days you’re available, and we will find you suitable placements. No pressure — just flexible, meaningful work that fits around your life.
If you’re enthusiastic, adaptable, and ready to make a difference to pupils across Southampton, we’d love to hear from you!
All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see the FAQ’s on the Teaching Personnel website for details.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
