1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant Required, Primary School based in Blyth, Northumberland (NE24)

  • Full time position – September Start!
  • Experience supporting children with SEN beneficial
  • Competitive Rates of Pay – Earn up to £65per day! (Based on experience)

A client school in Northumberland (NE24) are seeking a Teaching Assistant to join their KS2 team on a full time basis. The ideal candidate will have experience working with in a primary setting and will be looking to develop their career in education.

This ‘GOOD’ primary school is looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support a child in Year 5 on a 1:1 basis. The child has been diagnosed with ADHD and demonstrates challenging behaviour. The child would respond well to a calm, compassionate teaching assistant who is able to support them through out the school day. The school are ideally looking for someone who has experience working with children with specific SEN and can think on their feet! This is a one form entry primary school with a strong community feel which prides itself on creating a ‘Caring and nurturing community for children, parents and staff!’ The head teacher from the school is looking to recruit a adaptable Teaching Assistant who will thrive off getting involved in all aspects of school life.

To be considered for this position, you will:

• Have experience supporting children with specific SEN

• Have experience working in an educational capacity

• Be looking to develop your career in education

The 1:1 SEN teaching assistant position is due to start after the May half term and will run until the end of the academic year. The opportunity for extension may be possible for the right candidate.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
