SEN Teaching Assistant in Somerset for September role

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting Behaviour mentor’s to work in a number of Schools around Somerset and Blandford Forum.

Pupil Referral Units (PRUs) and special schools who educate students with social emotional and behavioural difficulties (SEBD Schools).

We are currently seeking Behaviour Support Mentors and Teaching Assistants to work with vulnerable and challenging students who have been permanently excluded from mainstream schools. You will either be required to assist the teacher within the classroom or support students on a 1 to 1 basis.

Essential requirements:

Previous work experience in PRU setting

Calm and supportive personality

Some SEN knowledge and experience

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
