Special Education Needs Teaching Assistant needed in Fulham, immediate start

  • 1:1 EBD/ADHD support
  • Variety of CPD courses
  • £70 - £90 Per Day

Teaching Personnel are searching for an enthusiastic, hard working teaching assistant to support a Year 3 boy with severe ADHD on a 1:1 basis starting as soon as possible.

The school is an inclusive and highly popular primary school in Fulham with a large support team in place due to the large number of pupils with SEN requirements they cater for. You will receive extensive training and development in this role so no matter what your next move you will have developed hugely on a professional level.

The year 3 class has 16 pupils and is lead by an inspirational teacher. You will be assisting a boy with severe ADHD and behavioural difficulties within this class.

The successful candidate will have a calm nature, great communication skills and ideally recent experience or training working with primary school pupils with Special Educational Needs or, specifically, ADHD. Applications are welcomed from confident individuals of all backgrounds who have experience working with young people who have demonstrated challenging behaviour and live locally, or are able to travel to Fulham for work.

We offer competitive rates of pay and we have a variety of CPD courses available for you to attend free of charge which will enhance your knowledge and development, such as Team Teach, Phonics Training, SEN Awareness, Autism Training etc. TAs who have attended these in the past have found them to be of great use and helped them in their different placements.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
