ADHD/ADD Teaching Assistant

Behaviour/ADHD Specialist Mentors required in South Derbyshire from September 2016

During the last academic year Teaching Personnel worked with a number of schools in the South Derbyshire area of Swadlincote in providing specialist behaviour TA support on a long term basis. We receive a number of requests from our client schools who required specialist 1:1 behaviour Teaching Assistants to work with pupils in class and outside of lessons to support in re-engaging them in education, as well as de-escalating behaviour outbursts.

We are currently looking to recruit experienced and specialist Teaching Assistants in this field of work ready for the new academic year where we anticipate to receive a number of new requests for our client schools.

The ideal candidates would be:

- Experienced in working with pupils with highly challenging behaviour including physical outbursts, and ADHD (minimum of 1 year).

- Knowledgable of the Primary curriculum and has the ability to differentiate the curriculum if needed.

- Team Teach or any other behaviour de-escalation training is desirable but not essential.

- Outgoing personality with the ability to form good positive relationships but must be firm with boundaries.
