Autism Specialist TA positions - Cornwall

Teaching Personnel are looking for teaching assistants in Cornwall. The pupils you will work with have special educational needs arising from a range of conditions. A large number of pupils have an autistic spectrum disorder. Some of the pupils have physical difficulties whilst others may have a language disorder or have a general developmental delay. All the pupils have difficulties accessing education and need to work in smaller class groups with a high level of specialist staff.

Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. To apply for these positions, you must possess a calm and caring nature and have the ability to deal with challenging behaviour. Qualifications and training such as Team-Teach, Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant awards, Moving & Handling etc are all highly desirable.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
