- Teaching Assistant Needed in a Secondary School in Newport
- Do you have experience working with challenging behaviour or is it something you are looking to get into?
- The teaching assistant role will start immediately after the Easter holidays and run until the end of the academic year
A using client in Newport are looking for a Teaching Assistant to join them in a full time role that will last until the end of the academic year. The role will consist of supporting a small group of children who exhibit challenging behaviour.
The successful candidate will have;
- Experience working with children with challenging behaviour
- The ability to be patient and calm in challenging circumstances
- A passion for seeing children achieve
This Newport Secondary School has just over 1300 pupils and a 94% attendance rate. The headteacher welcomes the teaching assistant to school and will provide training where needed. The successful teaching assistant will be part of supportive team that are constantly provided with training and resources. The secondary schools free school meals (FSM) is at 30% which requires a teaching assistant to work with some of these pupils.
