A primary school in Oldham (OL9) is looking for a HLTA to work across Key Stage 2 for the rest of the academic year.

The school is a small one form entry Roman Catholic primary school situated in the OL9 post code of Oldham. Most pupils are of White British heritage and the proportion of disadvantaged pupils is nearly twice the national average.

The school is looking for somebody who is hard-working, passionate about raising pupil's attainment and works well in their friendly, sociable team. The school is looking to become outstanding and is an exciting place to work with well thought out plans and decision making by a clear, organised senior leadership team. This role will be a great opportunity to work with a supportive, efficient, welcoming staff team while developing excellent practice from outstanding teaching.

As a Higher Leve Teaching Assistant you will:

  • Lead full class teaching using the teachers planning.
  • Be preparing and delivering learning activities for the pupil.
  • Monitoring across attendance, behaviour and achievement.
  • Responsible for providing support for students, teacher and the school in order to raise standards of achievement for all pupils with behavioural needs. .

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
