A 1:1 Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant is needed in an "Outstanding" primary school situated in Oldham (Ol4).

  • Full time Behaviour Mentor post, starting ASAP.

  • Competitive pay rates starting between £50-£65 a day dependant on experience.
  • Commit to a long term role up the end of the academic year and possibly longer.

The School is a larger than average primary academy that is increasing in size in response to local demand. All the pupils are from minority ethnic groups for whom English is not the first language at home. There are slightly more pupils from Pakistani backgrounds than Bangladeshi heritages. The school has achieved many awards, including Investors in People, Basic Skills Agency Quality Mark, Eco Schools Green Flag, Healthy School's Award, Arts mark and Sports Active mark.

As a Behaviour Mentor you will:

  • Be preparing and delivering learning activities for the pupil.
  • Monitoring across attendance, behaviour and achievement.
  • Responsible for providing support for students, teacher and the school in order to raise standards of achievement for all pupils with behavioural needs.
  • Deescalate behaviour when necessary.
  • Support the pupil's social and emotional needs.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
