6x Teaching Assistants required in Slough

Job description


A Specialist School in Slough has numerous full time teaching assistant posts to start immediately and after October half term. 

The school caters for primary, secondary and post 16 pupils with Social Emotional Mental Health Needs, Autism, ADHD, and Physical Disabilities. This role you will be working with a small group of primar children with Autism and Speech Language Needs. However successful candidates will be required to be flexible and work across ages groups and needs to lend a helping hand occasionally. 

You will assist in the educational and social development of these pupils under the direction of the SENCo and class teacher. You will provide support to the pupil inside and outside of the classroom to enable them to fully participate in activities. You will support the pupil with their learning and social well being within the school.

Ideally you will have experience of working with children and young people with special education needs in particular Autism. You will have an outgoing and engaging approach to your work and be able to support and encourage the development of pupils that you work with. Experience of visual timetables, interactive play, PECs and visual systems is desirable. Knowledge of education and health care plans is desirable.
