2 EYFS Teaching Assistants

Job description

2 EYFS Teaching Assistants – Primary School in Burnley

Level 2 qualified TA required

Work at Level 2, supporting the class teacher in the EYFS unit

Experience working alongside the Early Years Framework is a necessity

A faith school located in Burnley who work exclusively with Teaching Personnel have approached me in order to shortlist and appoint two Level 2 qualified Teaching Assistants who can effectively support the Reception class teacher in delivering the EYFS Framework. The Head Teacher is keen to appoint bright and enthusiastic practitioners who can support the EYFS Curriculum effectively and encourage personal and social development. The role is to work in the EYFS department which is currently graded as ‘GOOD’ by OFSTED and to support the needs of a number of children from 08:45-15:30. Both roles are on a full time basis, ideally starting after the October half term (Tuesday 29th October) until the end of the academic year. The Head Teacher has said if the candidates get on well there will be an opportunity for these positions to become permanent.

The Head Teacher has high standards for behaviour and academic development, and so the appointed practitioner will need to be able to fit into this mind set. The Head Teacher has stated it is preferable that the appointed teaching assistant will have a proven track record of working with children in the EYFS department, which can be discussed at an informal interview and evidenced in a trial lesson.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: GBP9.50 - GBP11.50 per day

Start date: Tuesday 29th October 2019
