1:1 Teaching Assistant for Behaviour

Teaching Personnel are looking for Teaching Assistants who have experience of working on a 1:1 basis with Learning difficulties and challenging behaviours. The roles support pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis.

We are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic and caring person to join our Schools and support children achieving their full potential. An understanding and experience of working with children who have particular needs would be advantageous. An ability to relate well to young people and work co-operatively with other members of staff is essential. The duties of the post will vary as required to meet the student's needs and support teaching staff in the classroom.

You must be:

* Good at helping children to achieve rather than telling them what to do;

* Excellent at engaging the children in their learning;

* Fantastic at getting on with children and other adults;

* Energy and enthusiasm;

* Able to work as part of a team and support colleagues at all levels.

The successful candidate will have:

  • A full, clean driving licence with access to a car to use daily.
  • Experience of working with young people and will have had experience of working within the education or health care sector and with multi-agencies.
  • Need to have NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or similar.
  • GCSE English and Maths grade A-C
