1:1 Support Assistant Hindley

Full-time Support Assistant required immediately to support a pupil on a 1:1 basis within a well respected Secondary school in Hindley.

The school SENCO wishes to appoint a dedicated Support Assistant for an identified pupil who has SEMH requirements in order to support her through daily school life.

  • 1:1 Support Assistant - Immediate start
  • Working alongside a pupil on a 1:1 basis who is struggling in the classroom
  • Opportunity to earn up to £1200 a month during this position
  • Employment for the remainder of the school year with contract extension likely
  • Experience working with students with SEMH needs is preferred but not essential

The school are looking for a solution for an identified student withing the school and now wish to recruit a dedicated member of staff who is able to support them for the remainder of the academic year in order to aid their learning and development within the school.

This role will require you to have a strong and authoritative character and be calm when dealing with challenging behaviour. You must be a good role model to the student that you are working alongside and be able to build a good working relationship in order to help them make regular improvements within school.

The school that wish to appoint for this role currently has around 900 pupils on roll which is more than the average secondary school in the area. Located in Hindley, in the Wigan LEA you will have access to public transport links making the school easily accessible from the surrounding areas, Wigan, Leigh and Bolton. If travelling by car then you will be just a short drive away from the A577 and also have access to onsite parking facilities.
