Job description

A client primary school in the Hulme area of Manchester (M15) are looking for a SEN Teaching Assistant to join their KS1 team on a full time basis starting after the summer holidays. The role will be to work with a child in Year 1 with severe communication difficulties. The child needs full time support to enable them to build up strong working relationships with adults and peers whilst continually working to enable the child to access learning effectively.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience supporting children with specific needs. A candidate that has worked to support children with SLCN would be beneficial, but isn't essential. A dedicated candidate with an optimistic, enthusiastic attitude who is willing to learn would be considered.

This is a lovely school in the Hulme area of Manchester which prides itself on 'continually helping children reach the highest possible personal standards in all of their work'. The school are looking to recruit ASAP, with a view to the successful candidate starting after the summer holidays. The role will run up until Christmas to begin with, with a view to the position going permanent.
