1:1 SEN Support

Teaching Personnel are currently seeking a Teaching Assistant to work in a Primary School based in Yarm. The Teaching Assistant must be able to assist and support the children within the school and work on a one to one basis with a young child in a year 4 class who is on the autistic spectrum. The Teaching Assistant must believe in creativity as being fundamental to student success. You must have a positive attitude and know that you can make a huge difference to the life chances of the students.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

• To work on a one to one basis or groups with children
• Provide an appropriate level of emotional and physical support where necessary
• Support pupils to understand instructions, support independent learning and inclusion of all pupils
• Support learning by arranging/providing resources for lessons/activities under the direction of the teacher and in line with health and safety requirements
• Support pupils in their social development and their emotional well-being, reporting problems to the teacher as appropriate

Requirements

• At least 3+ months experience working with SEN pupils
• Valid DBS on the update service
• Minimum of a Level 3 qualification
• Confident in delivering pre-planned lessons
• Be passionate about Teaching and seeing pupils progress
