Are you an experienced Support Assistant?

Teaching Personnel are seeking a nurturing 1:1 Support Assistant for a position to assist a child with SEN. The position is to start in the new academic year in one of our Barnsley schools.

The ideal candidate would have prior experience supporting a child with ASD on a 1:1 basis and have a clear understanding of the KS1 curriculum to successfully develop the child's development. The Support Assistant must be an excellent communicator, with the ability to build an effective relationship with both the student and the class teacher.

The 1:1 Support Assistant will also display excellent behaviour management and have an enthusiastic approach to children's learning with a clear understanding of key interventions.

Teaching Personnel are seeking:

  • Experience in 1:1 support with a child with SEN
  • A 1:1 Support Assistant with experience in delivering inspiring interventions
  • A 1:1 Support Assistant with an understanding of the KS1 curriculum
