1-1 SEMH Teaching Assistant

Job description

Teaching Personnel are working closely with a Mainstream Primary School situated in Yeovil and are currently helping recruit for a specialist SEMH Teaching Assistant.

About the role:

  • Full time Monday-Friday
  • Commencing ASAP
  • Working on a 1:1 basis with a Year 1 pupil with SEMH (Social, Emotional Mental Health)
  • Challenging behaviour to some extent

The school are looking for Specialist Teaching Assistants who have had experience working with both SEMH and challenging behaviour.

As this pupil is still very young, they are looking for someone with a firm but nurturing attitude.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
