Job description

The Role:

Teaching Personnel are seeking a Teaching Assistant to support a Year 3 student 1:1 with Global Development Delay. The individual will support the child in their educational and social development within the school. You will provide support to the pupil inside and outside of the classroom to enable them to fully participate in activities. You will be happy to run extra booster/intervention support for the pupil and assist in the implementation of individual education plans and help monitor the pupils progress under the direction of the class teacher, SENCO and Head Teacher and reporting back to them on a daily basis. It is hoped that you will be pleased to get involved in a range of activities to support the pupils progress in school.

The Candidate:

Ideally, the candidate will have experience working with children and young people with special educational needs. You will have an outgoing and engaging approach to your work and be able to support and encourage the development of the pupil. It would be advantageous if you have experience of visual timetables, interactive play, PECs and visual systems. Knowledge of education and health care plans is desirable.
