1:1 British Sign Language Support

Do you hold a qualification in British Sign Language?

Are you interested in supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis across multiple school sites?

I am looking for a teaching assistant to support on a 1:1 basis in Manchester. This role will involve supporting students with hearing impairments across multiple sites to ensure the students are able to access the curriculum effectively.

The successful candidate will be required to support and help the development of sensory impaired students across all ages, support academic studies, develop students social and communication skills in hearing impaired SEN settings

Requirements

  • Qualification in British Sign Language
  • Experience working with pupils with a hearing impairment
  • Child DBS on the update service (desirable)
  • Driving Licence (preferred)

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
