1:1 Behaviour for Learning Mentor required in Kidbrooke School

A year 6 student is moving to a specialist behaviour provision in a school in Kidbrooke. He presents challenging behaviour due to trauma that has happened at home, and the school are looking for someone to support him in a 1:1 capacity.

  • Full time role starting 10th December 2018 and continuing in January 2019
  • Official hours are 08:30am - 15:30pm, however the students arrive at 09:30am and finish at 2:30pm
  • Provide 1:1 support during lessons, helping to focus the student and keep him from getting distracted by others
  • Have the opportunity to support the other boys in the class too
  • Small class size - only 6 students in the class
  • Another TA in the room
  • Competitive pay rates from £60-£80 per day dependent on experience

The school is looking for someone who can talk to children who have problems at home, listen to them, help them but most importantly keep them on the right path with their education.

You must be able to set clear boundaries and expectations, model positive behaviour and inspire them to make the most of their life.
