Job description

Teaching Personnel are recruiting on behalf of a client primary school in the Moss Side area of Manchester (M14). The school are looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to work with a child in KS2 who has ASC. The role will start in October and will be full time until the end of the academic year. To be considered for this 1:1 SEN post, you will have prior experience working with children with additional needs. Experience working with Educational Heath Care Plans would be beneficial but isn't essential as the relevant training will be provided.

The role is to work in a larger than average, Manchester primary school which was graded 'GOOD' at its last OFSTED inspection. The school has been praised for its 'OUTSTANDING' senior leadership team and for the interventions and support that is put in place for children with special educational needs. The successful candidate will work with a child with ASC on a 1:1 basis. The child needs academic support and social emotional support. It is important that applicants are comfortable working with children who can display challenging behaviours.
