EYFS Teacher –Primary School in Rawtenstall

January 2020 – May 2020

Experience teaching the EYFS Framework is essential

Job Type: Full-time (Monday to Friday)

Pay Rate: GBP90-GBP150 per day

Start date: Monday 6th January 2020

End date: Friday 22nd May 2020

 

In order to be successful:

You must hold Qualified Teacher Status

You must have previous experience of working in EYFS

You must have a track record of raising attainment in EYFS

 

A fantastic opportunity has arisen in a Primary School based in Rawtenstall for an EYFS Specialist Teacher. Teaching Personnel are working closely with the Head Teacher who is hoping to shortlist and appoint by the end of November. The post is to start Monday 6th January until 22nd May 2020. The cover is required due to a scheduled operation and the class teacher is hoping to do some transition days before and after the operation.

The role will be to primarily support the development of a group of 28 children in the class; improving standards in language and communication skills, maths and English. You would be expected to teach daily phonics sessions using the Letters and Sounds Scheme of work alongside Jolly Phonics. You would be working with two teaching assistants in the classroom. One teaching assistant is allocated to work with small groups during the afternoon sessions providing interventions to develop vocabulary, speech and language.

A high number of children started school in September ‘not school ready’ therefore appropriate support is already be in place when you start in January including daily communication and language interventions, additional staffing and 1:1 support for targeted children.

The Head Teacher leads the school well and all the teaching staff have high standards across the board. You must be a well organised, efficient and reflective practitioner with high expectations of child development, learning and behaviour. You must also be able to plan and deliver a creative curriculum, create a purposeful and stimulating learning environment and form good relationships with children, parents/carers and staff.
