Our partnership with the Acorn Academy in Cornwall has being going strong for a number of years. Our Truro based Primary, Secondary and SEN teams work closely with many of the schools and academies in the county and increasingly work with school groups, offering flexible specialist staff for teaching, intervention and tuition. Our staff often act as a shared resource between schools in the group.
Acorn Academy Cornwall is an Alternative Provision (AP) Multi Academy Trust (MAT) that comprises of 6 regional AP Academies and The Community and Hospital Education Service (CHES) a medical AP Academy.
Acorn Academy Cornwall provides support to enable pupils to reintegrate into mainstream or special schools; or in the last four terms of compulsory education, integration into the world of work or further education.
The Community and Hospital Education Service (CHES) is an AP Academy that exists to provide education for pupils unable to attend school due to medical reasons. Acorn strives to support students to develop into confident, happy, successful young adults who have empathy towards and an understanding of those less fortunate than themselves.
