The Girls' School Association is set to publish a book on parenting for those bringing up daughters.
It is due to be published next month and will cover issues such as behaviour, tattoos and eating disorders, the Guardian reports.
The book comes after the GSA launched its interactive My Daughter website last year, which deals with similar subjects.
Gillian Low, who has served as president of the GSA for the last year, said the book and website came about because of demand from parents.
She told the newspaper: "Heads were saying that parents were coming to them to seek advice on issues outside the educational agenda.
"As well as being anxious about homework, exams, revision or university, they were also saying 'my daughter is 13, she's throwing tantrums and slamming doors and we are having lots of arguments. What can I do?' They didn't know where to turn for advice."
The GSA represents headteachers at the UK's leading independent girls schools.
