Some 18 individuals who were previously teaching students in Canada are preparing to head to the UK to continue their careers.
The Grimsby Telegraph reports that over 100 teachers from Canada applied for places at the Tollbar Business and Enterprise College.
However, chief executive David Hampson eventually settled on 18, with the staff also potentially working at the Cleethorpes Academy when it opens for students later this year.
He told the publication that some of the candidates were among "the best newly-qualified teachers he had ever interviewed" and that overall the applicants were of the "highest calibre".
Mr Hampson added: "In Canada the quality of teaching staff is particularly high as they are qualified to teach two subjects to sixth-form standard, but there are 24 teachers chasing every teaching vacancy."
The teachers will educate students in all of the science subjects, as well as maths and English.
Richard Marett, chief executive officer at Whizz.com, previously remarked that students seem to find maths harder as they get older.
