Staff in teaching jobs from a college in Bushey have successfully completed a charity fun run for a number of Jewish charities, a local news report has said.

According to the Watford Observer, teachers at Immanuel College, in Elstree Road, were joined by pupils and parents to run the Maccabi GB Community Fun Run last Sunday.

The school is understood to have raised more than £1,000 for its charities, including Gift and Camp Simcha.

"Team Immanuel really did the school proud. We have a strong ethos of raising money for charity and we were able to show this to the wider community," teacher Naomi Amdurer, who heads the college's charity committee, was quoted as saying by the publication.

In related news, staff in teaching jobs from Wirral raised more than £5,000 for national deaf and blindness charity Sense by running in the last London Marathon, according to the Wirral News.
