Cheryl Cole 'has teacher job x-factor'

She may not have any GCSE exam grades to her name, but Cheryl Cole is still top of most pupils' wish list when it comes to the person they would most like to take up a teaching job at their school.

The X Factor judge, Girls Aloud member and solo star beat competition from Doctor Who actor David Tennant and teen singing sensation Miley Cyrus in the Swapit.co.uk survey of 2,000 pupils aged six to 18.

David Soskin, chairman of the website, said: "Kids and adults alike love the glitz and glamour of the X Factor and Cheryl is rapidly becoming a great role model for kids."

Footballers Wayne Rooney, David Beckham and model and entrepreneur Katie Price also featured in the top ten list of dream education recruitment targets, as did QI presenter and famous brain-box Stephen Fry.

Celebrities including fashion designer Dame Vivienne Westwood and news presenter Huw Edwards recently signed up to spend a day teaching as part of a campaign by the Teach First charity to attract more graduates to teaching jobs, the BBC reports.ADNFCR-2164-ID-19600981-ADNFCR
