Students at a London primary school received an extraordinary surprise last week when one of the world's most famous actors popped into assembly.
Pirates of the Caribbean star Johnny Depp dropped in at the Greenwich school after he received a letter from one of its students.
The nine-year-old had written to the star asking him to lead a mutiny against teachers at her school, the BBC reports.
A special school assembly was called following Depp's unannounced arrival, in which the actor entertained pupils for around 15 minutes.
Dressed as Captain Jack Sparrow, he was joined by a number of other cast members, who were also in full costume.
Depp is currently filming scenes for the latest Pirates of the Caribbean film in London.
Another Hollywood star who appeared at a school in London recently is Jude Law.
The actor helped to launch a short film competition at Petchey Academy in Dalston last month.
