Results from the NHS Teen LifeCheck published today (September 9th) reveal while there are some social similarities between young people of all backgrounds, a divide does still exist.

Of the teenagers surveyed, almost twice the number of those from low income families worried about bullying.

Their wealthier peers, meanwhile, were more likely to be troubled by peer pressure and fitting in.

Further research revealed almost half (48 per cent) feel they cannot share their concerns with friends as they will be considered silly or different, while nearly a third (31 per cent) think they would simply not be understood.

Devised by the Department for Health, the Teen LifeCheck website is part of the NHS Choices service and offers teens the chance to assess their lifestyle through a series of questions.
