A workshop on attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) will take place in Basford this Saturday with parents being encouraged to attend.
It will take place between 10:00 BST and 13:00 BST at the New Vic Theatre, reports the Sentinal.
Parents who are concerned their children may have some form of
special needs will learn about how the condition can be diagnosed and how the family can adapt to the situation.
There will also be information available on how children with the condition will progress through the primary school system.
Saturday's event is being run as part of a lottery-funded project called Skillshare, which is organised by the Staffordshire Parent Partnership Service (SPPS).
The SPPS exists to support parents and carers of children with special educational needs.
It says its goal is to "help to develop closer links and better communication between families and all agencies involved with their child".
