School staff in Norwich will next week have the opportunity to learn more about how to provide the best education to autistic pupils.

Taking place at Norwich City Football Club, the event hosted by the Autism Education Trust (AET) will see information provided to those in teaching jobs, as well as parents and carers.

Participants at the one-day Sharing Good Practice discussion will be provided with results of recent research into autism education practices throughout the country.

A speech given by junior children's minister Sarah McCarthy-Fry at the AET's recent annual conference will also be related to attendants, who will be asked to participate in seminar sessions.

This will be one of several roadshows being held by the charity across England over the coming weeks, with Derby, Southampton and Exeter also set to host them.

"This event will be an opportunity for the AET to offer practical solutions for some of the main issues facing practitioners and providers of autism education," chairman of AET's steering group Bob Lowndes told the Eastern Daily Press.
