A scheme worth £7.79 million will help a Bristol primary school move all its facilities into a single location, says a local report.
Classrooms and playing fields at Staple Hill primary school are currently separated by a busy road, according to the Western Daily Press.
A lack of changing rooms and bathrooms mean the sports grounds are seldom used and when they are, teachers need to check for dog mess and broken glass as trespassers can easily access the site.
The local newspaper claims new plans drawn up by South Gloucestershire council would include a 315-place school with netball and football pitches in a single site.
Councillors hope construction will start next year if the proposals are approved.
The school's latest Ofsted report described Staple Hill as an "improving" school, grading its current performance as "satisfactory".
