A primary school is on the way for a new village in Shropshire, designed to be sustainable and environmentally friendly.

According to the BBC, the school's construction, along with that of 800 homes on the site, is expected to take around five years.

Backed by regeneration agency English Partnerships and housing association the Bournville Village Trust, the community is believed to be modelled on the town of Bournville, just outside Birmingham.

The Midlands town, known for its connection with the Cadbury family and the nearby chocolate factory, has been named as one of the best places to live in Britain.

Developers say the school will include areas for use by all the community, including facilities for multi-faith worship.
