Vetting Records Service

Helping you meet your legal obligations for safer recruitment in education

On January 1st 2007 the DSCF introduced a number of legal changes that had a significant impact on schools.  Headteachers are now obliged by law to comply with a number of Regulations on the use and vetting of agency staff.  Teaching Personnel prepared for these Regulations by developing a free online Vetting Records Service.

Our Vetting Records Service enables schools to satisfy all of these legal obligations for agency staff from us immediately and is available to all schools that book supply staff through Teaching Personnel on a long-term, permanent, day-to-day and emergency basis.

Confirming a candidate's identification via photographic means, obtaining written verification of the vetting checks that the agency has completed on all candidates, seeing a copy of a candidate's CRB Disclosure (via the agency) and maintaining a central record of the vetting checks carried out on all staff working at your schools.  These are all requirements that schools are legally obliged to meet.  They are also ALL satisfied by using Teaching Personnel's free online Vetting Records Service.

Our Vetting Records Service can be used to verify the vetting status of supply staff who have attended your school in the past through Teaching Personnel and for supply staff who are booked to attend your school in the future.  This service can be accessed at anytime, 24 hours a day, 365/6 days a year.  If you would like a full demonstration of this service from your local Recruitment Consultant, please contact your local branch.
