We define long-term work as more than four consecutive weeks working at the same school. Long-term assignments can sometimes run for a whole academic year and will generally cover the long-term absence of a permanent member of staff.
Teaching Personnel have more than a thousand long-term opportunities available every term. Opportunities exist in primary, secondary and special schools and are frequently a natural route to a permanent contract.
Long-term work can be sourced directly by our Consultants actively marketing you for specified roles. However, long-term work frequently arises as a result of schools getting to know and value day-to-day supply staff.
Whilst most long-term work commences at the start of term there is a significant percentage that starts at other times due to unexpected departures, health issues, maternity etc..
When you work on long-term assignments through Teaching Personnel, you will have constant access to our resource centre, free training events and teacher forums.
